DeFelsko PosiTector UTG Ultrasonic Thickness Gages (POSITECTOR-UTG)

The DeFelsko PosiTector UTG Ultrasonic Thickness Gage measures wall thickness in materials like steel and plastic using ultrasonic technology. The UTG is ideal for measuring the effects of corrosion and erosion on tanks, pipes, and any structure where access is limited to one side. Built-in temperature compensation ensures measurement accuracy. The precision ultrasonic transducers provide fast and accurate readings and the SmartCouple feature eliminates inadvertent decoupling, which is perfect for using multiple passes when analyzing large areas. Operators can enter their own velocities or take advantage of the PosiTector UTG's pre-programmed velocities and simply select from a list of common materials.

A HiLo alarm audibly and visibly alerts the operator when measurements exceed user-specified limits. The Ultrasonic Thickness Gage also includes a Min Scan mode to take continuous readings and record the min/max thicknesses and a Statistics mode to continuously display the updated average, standard deviation, min/max thicknesses, and number of readings. The PosiTector UTG comes with a choice of a standard or advanced gage body as well as a choice of probes (Corrosion Integral Probe, Corrosion Cabled Probe, Xtreme Corrosion Probe, Low Frequency Probe, Multiple Echo Probe, Precision Probe). Weatherproof - resistant to dust, water, acid, solvent, and oil. Conforms to national and international standards including ASTM E797.
