The DeFelsko PosiPen is a lightweight, magnetic pull-off Coating Thickness Gage that does not require any batteries or electronics. The PosiPen is perfect for refineries, petrochemical plants, powder coaters, and platers - electroplating, chrome, zinc, and galvanizing. These magnetic pull-off coating thickness gages are rugged and unaffected by water, dust, acid, oil, or mechanical shock. The probe tip is also highly wear resistant.
For applications on hot or hard-to-reach surfaces, hot sprayed coatings, and spot checks, the PosiPen provides accurate measurements with no user adjustment required. Two scales are included on the gage, mils and microns, for the user's preference. The PosiPen conforms to ASTM D7091/B499 and ISO 2808 standards.
The Triple Indicator compensates for gravity while measuring in different positions.
Use the Red/Silver joining line when the gage is horizontal.
Use the Green line when the gage is pointing down.
Use the Blue line when the gage is pointing up.
