These probes can be adapted later to work with the SonoDur line of hardness testers, including the SonoDur 2, SonoDur 3 and SonoDur-R with an exchange of electronics and plug.

Larger Probe Size Offers Better Control & Measurements
NewSonic's MIC10/MIC20 probes are slightly larger than the original GE MIC10 probes, making them easier to hold and safer to operate. The larger probe diameter also allows for better control with less transmission force, even at higher test loads. Measurement deviations due to inclined placement on surfaces can also be reduced.
