Waygate Technologies Krautkramer VRY transducers, Baker Hughes business products (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), are used for testing mid-sized to large thick-walled materials which cannot be inspected with transverse waves due to the high sound scattering (e.g. austenitic welds on chemical and power plants). VRY transducer angles are longitudinal (compression) wave suitable for testing coarse grain materials. VRY transducers are available in 45°, 60° and 70° angles and come with Lemo 00 connectors.
