    Description

The VSHOOTER VBS1T by Synergys is a revolutionary, portable instrument used in machine vibration analysis. The VSHOOTER is a machine vibration analyzer with an embedded camera used for predictive maintenance of conventional rotating machines such as fans, pumps, screw compressors and more. Just point, shoot and record your machine while it is in use, and within seconds you will have an MCP - Machine Condition Picture - that tells you how your machine is operating and if it is in need of maintenance. With an MCP you immediately see your machine's condition, and after performing a second MCP on the same machine, you'll be able to follow its evolving condition on a trending curve.

The VSHOOTER will allow you to pinpoint and identify if your machine is misaligned, unbalanced or has undesirable vibrations while in use. Now you can instantly diagnose machine bearing conditions or if your machine is in need of lubrication. No longer do you need additional PC software and have to download results to see if you have a problem, everything is completed and stored directly on the VSHOOTER. However, you can easily download your results to a PC for more in-depth analysis.

The VSHOOTER is a vibrometer equipped with an external high-quality accelerometer, an embedded camera, LED stroboscope and pyrometer. It indicates the severity of your problem through color codes that let you easily diagnose how well your machine is operating. The condition report appears in green, yellow, orange or red according to the classification of ISO 10816-3&7.

    • The vibrations of newly installed machines are usually placed in the green zone.
    • The machines whose vibrations are within the yellow zone are normally considered acceptable for a long service life without any restrictions.
    • Machines whose vibrations are in the orange zone are typically considered unsuitable for long-term, continued use. Overall, the machine can operate in this range for a limited time, until the opportunity arises to make repairs.
    • The vibration values found in the red zone are considered significant enough to cause damage.

You can store every MCP (Machine Condition Picture) with its corresponding vibration measurements in the memory of the VSHOOTER. Up to 1000 MCPs can be stored and uploaded to a PC through the supplied USB cable.

For measurement values within orange and red zones, the VSHOOTER VBS1T automatically performs a self-diagnosis and displays the Velocity and Acceleration results. On the FFT screens you will be directed automatically to one of the 5 most common defects (75% of faults) including: unbalance, bearing shock and lubrication, alignment, and foundation. If none of these issues resolve the problem, then more in-depth analysis with a more powerful analyzer is needed.

When clicking the see Data icon , all of the measurements taken for the machine will be displayed.

When clicking on the see Auto Diagnose icon , all the self-diagnosis elements will be shown.

When clicking on the see FFT icon , the FFT of the Velocity and Acceleration will show alarms, orange and red measurements according to ISO 10816-3&7. The VSHOOTER will show the Velocity of the three frequencies with the largest amplitude along with the self-diagnosis.

While using the VSHOOTER for monitoring different machines' conditions over time, it will record:

    • Vibration Rms velocity 2(10)-1000 Hz in mm/s or inch/s according to ISO 10816-3&7
    • Vibration Rms acceleration 1000-10000 Hz in G
    • Vibration Crest acceleration 1000-10000 Hz
    • Temperature

By performing a trend analysis, you can determine the importance of the actual vibration levels measured in comparison with the levels measured previously.

    MULTIMETER mode and FUSION mode

The VSHOOTER VBS1T has two operating modes: FUSION and MULTIMETER.

On the FUSION MODE you will create MCP's as explained above.

On the MULTIMETER MODE you will only do measurements on the spot without creating MCP's.
