The UW-115 Contour Probe is a durable, high-performance instrument specifically engineered for underwater magnetic particle inspection in accordance with recognized nondestructive testing standards.
The UW-115 model generates a strong, constant AC field and is equipped with a four-foot Neoprene, #16, three-cord "Pig Tail." This Pig Tail/cord should be used with the user's approved underwater connector or spliced to a #16, three-conductor underwater cable. A GFCI-protected 115VAC power source, with the appropriate rating, must be operated by a "top side" switch or an approved underwater switching device.
Special Features
Leg sections are sealed between each laminate to prevent water migration into the unit. A 3′ power cord “pig tail” is molded into the probe body to allow for desired underwater connector or splice to user’s power cable.
