The USM Go+ is nearly identical to the USM Go. The main difference is that the US Go+ makes use of arrow keypad operation while the USM Go has joystick operation. Information can be shared between the two different devices and the accessories are interchangeable between each device.
The USM Go+ is a lightweight, portable ultrasonic flaw detector from GE. It is designed to have one hand operation with a flip function for right or left handedness and weighs less than 2 lbs. with the battery.
Even with its small size, the USM Go+ has a 5” LCD screen with 800x480 pixel display, making it on par with other, larger flaw detectors. It also has a 5.5 hour battery life.
Other features include auto calibration, arrow keypad operation and color leg indicator.
Included with the flaw detector is a lithium ion on-board rechargeable battery pack, lithium ion battery charger, AC power supply, LCD screen overlays, 2 GB SD card, transport case, hand strap, operating card, operating manual and ISO 17025 Certificate of Calibration.
The USM Go+ has applications in the aerospace, power, automotive and oil & gas industries, chiefly for weld inspections, forging and casting inspections, rail inspections and composite inspections.

Apart from the different operational devices the joystick or the arrow-keypad, the operation and the menus of both instruments are the same. And even the stored instrument settings of the USM Go can be used with the USM Go + and vice versa which will ease any ultrasonic inspector's work but will ensure that proven settings can continue to be used with new equipment and even shared with other USM Go / USM Go+ inspectors.
