Waygate Technologies Krautkramer SWS and AWS Standard Wedges, Baker Hughes business products (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), are specified for carbon steel. AWS wedges meet or exceed the American Welding Society's Structural Welding Code D1.1 for angle beam assemblies used in weld inspection. These SWS and AWS acryllic wedges are versatile in inspections involving shafts, turbine blades, and more. The incident angle on a wedge is determined by the material being tested.
High-Temperature Wedges can be used at temperatures as high as 400°F (200°C) with a maximum contact time at 10 seconds. User must cool the wedge to ambient before reuse.
Custom wedge angles and curvatures can be special ordered.
