DeFelsko Conventional and Optical Grade Testex Press-O-Film Tape Grades (REPLICA-TAPE)

Testex Press-O-Film Replica Tape is made up of compressible foam attached to a polyester base layer with a very consistent thickness. When applied to a rough steel surface, the foam compresses and captures an impression of the texture. By positioning the compressed tape between the anvils of a micrometer thickness gauge and subtracting the thickness of the non-compressible base layer, one can accurately measure the surface profile.

When paired with PosiTector RTR 3D models, Testex Press-O-Film Optical Grade replica tape delivers superior quality surface data files (.SDF) compared to traditional replica tape. The Optical Grade Replica Tape is offered in an X-Coarse grade.
