Ofil Ranger Driven Corona Inspection System with DayCor (RANGER)

   

DayCor® Ranger is the most reliable vehicular corona scanning system that provides pinpointed display of corona and its emitting sources. It features a versatile pan & tilt vehicle mounted inspection solution for use with most vehicles.

Ranger offers the unique capabilities of patented DayCor® technology along with optional additional supreme sensors, such as infrared & HD, and a field-tested, full featured, high-speed pan/tilt unit.

Ranger ensures the highest ultraviolet (UV) detection sensitivity along with data obtained from other sensors. The vehicle mount stabilizes Ranger and guarantees smooth and sharp video clips of inspected areas with GPS data and corona severity indications. The system is remote controlled and operated from within the vehicle by using a joystick with pre-set positions and a durable notebook with 14" outdoor readable display.

EXTREME UV SIGNAL SENSITIVITY

Equipped with absolute solar blindness and detection of at least 1pC from a distance of 10 meters and 7.7dBμV (RIV) @ 1MHz @10m, Ranger can detect the weakest perceivable coronas and displays them clearly. UV events are counted and analyzed by a dedicated algorithm that designates detected corona severity.

OPERATE IN COMFORT

Ranger operates from the comfort of your vehicle using a joystick and a laptop using keystrokes that control the activities of all selected sensors. Current functions are shown on the screen and switching between them is a quick and seamless process.

MULTI-SENSOR CONCURRENT INSPECTIONS

Ranger is designed to use additional cameras for inspection. Recommended IR & HD cameras (or customers' selections) are connected to the roof and controlled remotely from within the vehicle. Inspections can be completed concurrently using a combination of UV, IR, Visible, etc. streamlining work and providing a comprehensive view of inspected areas.

RUGGED AND STABILE

Ranger is supported by shock absorbers that protect the imaging unit and support safety for off-road driving. Ranger is field-tested, strong yet low in weight. Ranger can work in windy conditions with no impact on performance.

HD VIDEO & STORAGE

Ranger records high-resolution video clips, is NTSC/PAL

compatible and embeds GPS, date, time, audio commentary & UV counting in its data.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION

Ranger’s installation is quick and easy. It can be adjusted to fit most vehicle makes and sizes. The unit comes with an installation kit and easy-to-follow instructions.

HIGH-SPEED DETECTION

DayCor® Ranger can inspect energized high and medium voltage overhead lines and installations at speeds of up to 60 mph / 100 km/hour with no degradation in performance.
