The Waygate Technologies Krautkramer External Eddy Current Probes, Absolute, Baker Hughes business products (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), were designed for small spaces, with a pointed tip to fit directly into the external (bolt) thread root to detect cracks. They can also be used for inspecting splined shafts. The length of these probes is 100 mm (4.0"). All External probes are fitted with Microdot connectors as well. Material options for these probes include nonferrous (NFe) and ferrous (Fe). Frequencies of 200 kHz, 500 kHz, and 2 MHz are available for the External probes.
