PH Tool ERVW Piping Calibration Blocks, EDM Notches (ERVW.PIPE.NOTCH)

The PH Tool ERVW Piping Calibration Blocks come as a set of 3, offering convenient calibration on over 96 inspection sizes. These blocks were designed for calibration in the axial direction in the examination of circumferential butt welds. As part of the Extended Range Variable Wall series, the Piping Calibration Blocks reduce the number of blocks required to cover a wide range of pipe sizes. In accordance with their sizes, the blocks cover 12, 29, and 55 inspection sizes. Each block step is engraved with the pipe sizes (OD/wall) covered.

The ERVW Piping Calibration Blocks feature Electrical Discharge Machined (EDM) Notches, in accordance with T-434.3-1 and -2, for testing circumferential pipe welds. A slanted end allows for full DAC/TCG calibrations with conventional ultrasonic testing or phased array ultrasonic testing while also eliminating corner trap reflections. Steps are on the inside diameter to maximize wedge curvature usefulness, in accordance with T-432.2 requirements.
