Waygate Krautkramer BPE - Strip Tester (BPE)

The Waygate Technologies Krautkramer BPE strip tester, a Baker Hughes business product (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), is used for coil material inspection before or after forming of Spiral Submerged Arc Welded (SAW) or Electrical Resistance Welded (ERW) pipes. Different systems configurations are available depending on the specifications and the design of the test area

• Testing for laminations or inclusions in the base material of welded pipes.
• Statistically or full body inspection
• Static and/or oscillating probes
• No dimensional or wall thickness limitations
• Test speeds from 1 m/min – 20 m/min (3.28 ft./min - 65.62ft./min) (spiral pipes) and up to 2 m/s (6.56 ft./s) (ERW pipes).
