    Description

The Synergys LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000-V3 is a unique, ultrasonic leak detection camera. Compressed air and steam leaks are detected using the camera and a dynamic on-screen target to precisely find leak locations (patented).

The LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000-V3 features a new concept of Steam Trap diagnostic: The STRAPSHOOTER®. The STRAPSHOOTER® program is an easy-to-use firmware which can automatically diagnose the condition of your steam trap. It uses an incredibly sensitive camera, capable of finding compressed air leaks (no bigger than the size of syringe needle) at a distance of 20m. When the LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000-V3 comes near a leak, a dynamic yellow target appears on the large color screen. The target turns red and becomes smaller as the camera approaches the source of the leak. When the camera is pointing at the leak, a cross appears in the center of the target, and you can photograph and save the precise location of the leak.

When taking pictures of leaks, each photo is numbered, dated and time stamped and shows the dB RMS level of each leak. Photos can be easily uploaded directly onto a PC via a supplied USB cable and attached to inspection reports.

    Real-Time Measurement

Temperatures can now be recorded in real-time and you can save the screen and graph for T°IN and T°OUT. During the real-time viewing on screen, you can see RMS, MIN, MAX values.

You can also use plug-in professional grade headphones (supplied with the unit) into the LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000-V3 and use the traditional method of leak detection by listening for the hissing sound of the leak.

    The LEAKSHOOTER® LKS1000-V3 uses:

    • Ultrasonic contact probe to analyze the Steam Trap
    • Embedded infrared pyrometer to measure the pipe T° IN & T° OUT
    • STRAPSHOOTER® program to see, hear, analyze and report the Steam Trap condition state
    • Embedded camera to take a picture of the Steam Trap for reporting

Systematically checking for and eliminating leaks and defective traps will bring considerable energy savings.

Leak tests can prevent more severe and costly problems, so it is important to regularly monitor the air, vacuum or gas installations that you use in your operations. Many industries use compressed air as a propellant for many types of machines including automotive, hospitals, laboratories, shipping and heavy engineering plants.
