Wilson indenters for the UH4000 series hardness testers come in a variety of hardness scales including Knoop, Vickers, Brinell and Rockwell. For micro hardness testing (Knoop and Vickers), the indenters only come in one size (standard). For Brinnel the indenters are made of tungsten carbide and come in sizes ranging from 1 to 10 mm. For Rockwell, two types of indenters are available – a diamond cone or tungsten carbide balls ranging in size from 1/16” to 1/2”.
