Chemetall UCA-2M Water-Soluble Ultrasound Gel (UCA-2M)

UCA-2M is a water-based, bright blue transparent gel formulated with a combination of coupling agents, organic corrosion inhibitors, and thickening agents. It exhibits pronounced thixotropic properties, allowing it to remain in place when applied, without dripping or running off the part being tested. These thixotropic characteristics, along with its excellent wetting properties, facilitate smooth and even movement of ultrasonic probes over both rough and smooth surfaces, ensuring immediate and superb acoustic transmission. UCA-2M is pH neutral, ranging from 7.5 to 8.5, and its special organic corrosion inhibitors prevent corrosion on most metals. Moreover, the product is low in sulfur and halogens and leaves virtually no ash upon ignition.
