    Description

The PZX-7 is a precise ultrasonic wall thickness gauge designed for detailed measurements on thin-wall metal and plastics. Housed in a robust aluminum casing, it's sealed for excellent environmental protection, ensuring reliable use even in challenging field and production settings.

With a measuring range in steel from 0.0060 to 1.0000 inch (0.15 to 25.40 mm), the PZX-7 uses a single-element delay tip transducer for thin materials. It automatically removes coatings in Echo-Echo Mode (E-E) and switches to Interface Echo Mode (I-E) for thicker materials. For plastic measurement, users can select Plastic Mode (PLAS) and use the Graphite Delay Line Tip option.

Additional measuring modes include Differential (DIFF), where users set a nominal value, Alarm (user-set Hi/Low Limits) triggers LEDs for tolerance, and Velocity Mode. The PZX-7 is compatible with single element contact transducers for measurements up to 36 inches (923 mm).

While lacking built-in memory, the PZX-7 can transfer single values via the USB port to a PC or data collector without requiring additional software.
