The Dakota PMX4-DL High Penetration Thickness Gauge is tailored for materials that are challenging to penetrate with sound waves due to inconsistent material properties, grain structure, and overall thickness. It features multiple high voltage pulser options and filters specifically tuned for lower frequency transducers ranging from 500 kHz to 10 MHz. This gauge expands the range of applicable materials, accommodating fiberglass, carbon fiber, cast metals, rubber, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), lead, as well as all steels and aluminums. Typical applications include measuring the thickness of fiberglass sheets, pipes, storage tanks, aerospace composites, boat hulls, conveyor belts, and composite plastics.

The device offers a variety of features and tools to handle different material types and applications, with an FPGA-driven electronic platform that ensures speed and accuracy. The gauge boasts a screen refresh rate of 25Hz, enhancing its responsiveness.
