The new PH Tool Phased Array Calibration Blocks No. 2, designed by PH Tool, retain all of the required features on the ASME Sec V Art 4 Basic Calibration Block, yet spaces the holes out onto longer, narrower blocks. These blocks have two EDM notches at 2% deep x .010" wide x 1.500" long on opposite surfaces. Options of 3/4" and 1 1/2" are available for thickness in the No. 2 blocks. All PA Calibration Blocks No. 2 are in accordance with PH Tool Drawing No. 10178 and PH Tool Drawing No. 10239. Materials for the No. 2 Blocks are 7075-T6 Aluminum, 1018 Steel, 304 Stainless Steel, and Special Alloy.
Dimensions for the 3/4" blocks are .750" thick x 1.500" wide x 14.00" long. Three holes are drilled, 3/32" in diameter, through the 1.500" width at 1/4T, 1/2T, and 3/4T.
Dimensions for the 1 1/2" blocks are 1.500" thick x 1.500" wide x 17.00" long. Three holes are drilled, 1/8" in diameter, through the 1.500" width at 1/4T, 1/2T, and 3/4T.
