    Description

         
    The Ofil ORSolar-UAS Imaging system delivers detailed analysis on the extent of oil and of emulsions by providing information about the location, size, and spread of spills. This information is delivered in real-time to the remote control base, where the data can be stored and evaluated. Remote control allows for more thorough inspection of areas that may prove hard to get to or are dangerous. The ORSolar is also able to assess clean-up efficiency through using its two complementary sensors, UV and IR. The UV sensor captures the solar radiation reflected by the sea surface and the IR sensor captures the differences in thermal emissivity, measuring thinner and thicker layers of oil respectively. Where rapid response is crucial, reliable readable information, available with the Ofil ORSolar-UAS, is a non-negotiable neccessity.

    The resolution of the ORSolar is 768 x 576 pixels, with a Spectral Range of 340-370 nm. The IR sensor on this camera detects thicker layers of oil slicks of 10 μm - 100 μm. The UV sensor provides complementary data, detecting thinner sheens of oil at 0.1 μm - 10 μm, including emulsions. This system is cost-effective, utilizes upright takeoff to eliminate the need for special runways, and features a low operation cost to make follow-up flights a feasible option.
