Gould-Bass Magne-Tech Multi-Mag (MULTI-MAG)

Gould-Bass Magne-Tech Multi-Mag systems, compared to conventional magnetic testing methods, offer substantial time and cost savings through efficient defect detection. The Multi-Mag magnetizes parts in multiple directions in one firing sequence, revealing virtually all defects without having to process a part with a separate head and coil shots.

Send current through power packs to test parts, with switching occurring at 0.0003-second intervals, with the Multi-Mag multi-directional mode. Make 90 directional switches in a 0.5-second shot, with 30 occurring in each direction over a full 0.5-second, providing almost simultaneous magnetization while separating the application of field in all three directions.

Based on the Multi-Mag current control setting, the current will flow for a duration of 0.000 to 0.009 second and will repeat itself every 0.009 seconds for the full duration of the magnetizing shot. The switching sequence occurs in all three of the power packs on an individual basis. Carry out three different multi-directional magnetization modes with a choice of AC, HWDC, or FWDC.
