Sonotech Sonotrace GR30 (MF-42)

Sonotech SONOTRACE is a moderately priced, ambient temperature, water-based, glycerine-free ultrasonic couplant for flaw detection and thickness gaging where Halogens, Sulfur and low melting point metals must be kept to a minimum and glycerine is to be avoided. Sonotech Sonotrace is designed for good wetting ability and ferrous corrosion resistance when testing for flaw detection and thickness. This water-based, water-soluble couplant is glycerine-free and possesses humectants to slow drying. Grade 30 has a viscosity of 65,000 cps (Brookfield Helipath Spindle E @ 1.5 rpm).

The Sonotech Sonotrace GR30 is available in a 1 gallon container, a 5 gallon container, a 55 gallon drum and a case of four 1 gallon containers.

SONOTRACE meets the Halogens and Sulfur requirements specified in NAVSHIPS MIL-STD-767. SONOTRACE is available in two versions:

• SONOTRACE Grade 30 and 40: Offers good wetting ability and ferrous corrosion resistance.
