    Description

    The DeFelsko PosiTest HHD High-voltage Holiday Detector detects holidays, pinholes, and other discontinuities using pulse DC. This Holiday Detector is lightweight, with an ergonomic design for reducing operator fatigue and providing a comfortable, all-day experience. The regulated pulse DC voltage output does not change under load and has a ±5% voltage accuracy. A voltage calculator allows the user to choose one of 11 international standards, input the coating thickness, and have the required test voltage automatically calculated.

    The PosiTest HHD is easy-to-use, with an audible and visual alert system for detecting flaws/holidays. When a holiday is detected, a strobe light and loud audible alarm, adjustable for differing environments, are activated. This Detector is also weatherproof, dustproof, and shockproof thanks to a rugged, environmentally sealed ABS plastic enclosure. The High-voltage Holiday Detector is internally sealed to minimize creep distance to high voltage components. Designed in accordance with IEC 61010-1. Kits are available with varying options in battery, electrode rod length, and case.

    Press and hold the safety trigger to help prevent accidental high voltage generation. A wide range of rolling spring electrodes and wire brushes are available to meet application requirements. Electrodes and brushes are made of stainless steel. Battery life for this Detector is 40 continuous hours with the removable 70 Wh smart lithium-ion battery, and 16 continuous hours with the 46 Wh smart lithium-ion battery. The PosiTest Holiday Detector conforms to ASTM D4787/D5162/G62, ISO 29601, NACE SP0188/SP0274/SP0490, and AS3894.1.
