The Parker Research DA-1500-DR is a portable, heavy-duty magnetic inspection unit that offers high-output AC or HWDC fields for magnetic particle inspection. It features a new Digital LCD display that remains easy to read in any lighting condition, with improved accuracy due to an updated circuit design. Field selection is managed through the appropriate field cable connector, and the current output can be adjusted from zero to maximum using the front panel's current control, as shown on the Digital meter. The actual current output is influenced by the cable size and length.

AC magnetic fields offer the best sensitivity for detection of surface defect indications. The AC field is also beneficial for demagnetizing after inspection.
