    Description

    The Parker Research DA-1500 is a portable, heavy-duty magnetic inspection unit with a 1500 Amp capacity, offering high-output AC or HWDC fields for magnetic particle inspection. Field selection is managed through the appropriate field cable connector. The current output can be continuously adjusted from zero to maximum using the front panel's current control, with the output displayed on the panel meter. The actual current output is influenced by the cable size and length.

    AC magnetic fields offer the best sensitivity for detection of surface defect indications. The AC field is also beneficial for demagnetizing after inspection.
