Bruker CTX 600 Portable Countertop XRF Analyzer (CTX600)

The Bruker CTX 600 is a high-powered countertop XRF analyzer that comes in a compact, light and portable design. The unit has a sturdy stainless steel body and is easy to clean. The CTX 600 features a minimal footprint, taking up very little space on any surface. The unit ships with a standard waterproof and pressure equilibrated Pelican case or can be transported in an optional protective backpack. 

Operation

The CTX 600 is operated through a front panel touchscreen display or can run with a PC via Wi-Fi or USB. Readying samples for analysis is easy, and they can be placed in the safety chamber with plenty of room to spare, or in sample cups, baggies or other containers depending on your need.

The Technology

The CTX600 measures elements from Magnesium to Uranium and uses a 50kV 2W Rhodium (Rh) thin window X-ray tube to analyze samples. The unit also features Bruker's patented SharpBeam™ optimized X-ray geometry, a large area silicon drift detector (SDD) with CUBE™ technology and patented TITAN DetectorShield™ to protect against detector puncture. The CTX 600 offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® and USB connections. The touchscreen user-interface allows measurement control and provides an easy-to-read results display. 

The Toolbox software Bruker includes allows for full remote operation of the CTX 600. Additional add-on software, Bruker’s Artax™, is designed for advanced qualitative, semi-quantitative composition analysis, as well as EasyCal™ for your own, user-defined empirical correlations.

• Alloys with Light Elements - Including stainless steels, tool steels, low alloy steels, nickel alloys, cobalt alloys, copper alloys, zinc alloys, light (Al, Mg, and Ti) alloys and general calibration for all other alloy types
  
• Precious Metals - Au, Ag, Pt, Pd based alloys including KARAT library (single phase)
  

GeoMining & Industrial Minerals

• GeoExploration - Geochemical exploration and ore processing including automated and user selectable calibrations for oxide and sulfide matrices
  
• Limestone - Limestone and Dolomitic Limestone reporting Mg and Ca Carbonate. Includes normalized use on powder and solid rock, Cement and Gypsum applications.
  
• Heavy Metals and Nutrients in Soil - Dual phase calibration for environmental compliance and elemental nutrients in soil.

Food Safety & Environment

• Restricted Materials - With light element capability (Al-Bi). For all ROHSII, CPSIA, PROP65, WHEE compliance applications. Includes Auto mode and user selectable calibrations for plastics, mid-density materials and metals. Includes Plastic and Solder check sample. Measures Cl and Br and can be used also for Halogen free testing.
  
• Maritime Sulfur - MARPOL measurement of Sulfur in maritime Fuels 0.01-1% wt.% S, includes Spectrofilm Etnom protective film pack.
  
• MARPOL Consumables and QC kit - 100 pre-made BRUKER XRF sample cups in a roll with ETNOM™ 3μm foil; XRF safety foil. Two check samples for MARPOL blank and 0.1% wt.% S 500ml each.
  
• Food Safety - Measures foodstuff, packaging and food contact materials.
  
• Food Quality - For nutrients and fortificants in foodstuff.
  
• Filter and Dust Wipe - Measures hazardous elements on air filters and Lead wipe test dust wipes.

Custom Applications

Custom calibrations for customer specific calibrations can be created including calibration modifications and custom grade libraries.
