Description
The Bruker CTX 300 is a high-powered, countertop XRF analyzer that comes in a compact, light and portable design. The unit has a sturdy stainless steel body and is easy to clean. The CTX 300 features a minimal footprint, taking up very little space on any surface. The unit ships with a standard waterproof and pressure equilibrated Pelican case or can be transported in an optional protective backpack.
Operation
The CTX 300 is operated through a front panel touchscreen display or can run with a PC via Wi-Fi or USB. Readying samples for analysis is easy, and they can be placed in the safety chamber with plenty of room to spare, or in sample cups, baggies or other containers depending on your need.
The Technology
The CTX 300 is a high performance SiPIN detector that measures elements from Chlorine to Uranium and uses a 50kV 2W Rhodium (Rh) thin window X-ray tube to analyze samples. The unit also features Bruker's patented SharpBeam™ optimized X-ray geometry and patented TITAN DetectorShield™ to protect against detector puncture. The unit has an automated 5 position primary beam filter changer with 4 pre-fitted filters. The CTX 300 offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® and USB connections. The touchscreen user-interface allows measurement control and provides an easy-to-read results display.
The Toolbox software Bruker includes allows for full remote operation of the CTX 300. Additional add-on software, Bruker’s Artax™, is designed for advanced qualitative, semi-quantitative composition analysis, as well as EasyCal™ for your own, user-defined empirical correlations.
Add-On Packages
The CTX 300 features add-on calibration packages for measuring the following types of materials:
Alloys
- Alloy calibration package for heavy elements only (Ti-Bi). Includes type specific calibrations for stainless steels, tool steels, low alloy steels, nickel alloys, cobalt alloys, copper alloys, zinc alloys, light alloys and general calibration for all other alloy types.
- Precious Metal calibration for Au, Ag, Pt, Pd based alloys includes KARAT library.
Soil
- Soil calibration, Ti-U for heavy and transition elements. Optimized for regulated environmental elements. Uses Compton normalization.
- Geochem calibration with Ti to U element range. Includes GeoChem General for mining and GeoChem Trace for geo exploration lower concentrations.
- Regulated Plastics application to test for restricted or regulated elements in polymers.
- Regulated Metals application to test for restricted elements (Cd, Pb, Cr, Hg etc.) in metal alloys.
Custom Applications
Custom calibrations for customer specific specifications can be created including calibration modifications and custom grade libraries.
