    Description

The Tramex Determinator Concrete Moisture Probe extends the capabilities of the Tramex Concrete Moisture Encounter range and provides in-situ moisture content readings. Measurements are made in both the top ¾ inch ( 19 mm) layer and within the body of concrete floors and slabs down to an extendable depth of up to 4" (100mm). The Determinator can be used in conjunction with the CME5, CMEX5, and older Concrete Moisture Encounters CME4 and CMEX2.

    How it Works

The Determinator operates by measuring the electrical impedance of a material as it varies depending on its moisture content. The test material's electrical impedance is measured by creating a low frequency alternating electric field between the electrodes and the probe to a depth of up to 4”. A small amount of alternating current flows through thefield and is is inversely proportional to the impedance of the material. The instrument detects this current, determines its amplitude and thus derives the concrete's moisture content.

    Determinator Tech Kit

The Determinator Tech Kit offers instant and precise testing of both surface and in-body concrete moisture content in slabs using a unified gravimetric-based testing method. Using the CMEX5 digital concrete moisture meter, you can non-destructively test concrete and perform comparative testing per ASTM F2659. The reusable Determinator Probe used with the CMEX5 allows for in-depth moisture content probe testing within the concrete, down to an extendable depth of up to 4" (100mm). The Tramex Meter App allows you to geographically tag test results, create, save and share reports and charts.

    Determinator Inspector Kit

Like the Tech Kit, the Determinator Inspector Kit uses a unified gravimetric-based testing method per ASTM F2659. In addition, the CMEX5 has Hygro-i2® RH probes for in-situ testing of concrete and an infrared surface thermometer for surface temperature and dew point conditions. The Tramex Meters App allows you to geographically tag test results, create, save and share reports and charts, as well as see your meter screen on your phone when using the CMEX5 extension handle.

    Features

    • Instant and Accurate
    • Designed to work in the same drill-hole made for the F2170 test.
    • Eliminate confusion between in-situ Relative Humidity tests and surface Moisture Content tests.
    • Determine if moisture is coming from below or above the concrete slab surface.
    • Determine the type and extent of mitigation if needed.
    • Reusable, Extendable, and requires no plastic hole liners.
    • Can be used in conjunction with Tramex Concrete Moisture Encounters CME5, CMEX5, (CME4 and CMEX2)
