GAL AWS Type Weld Gauge (CAT-6)

The GAL AWS Type Gauge is precision built of stainless steel with dimensional readings chemically etched and filled for easier reading. This gauge is ideal for checking the permissible tolerance of convexity through determining the leg size of the fillet weld, checking reinforcement, checking concavity of a fillet weld, and checking the fillet weld throat. With the new improved AWS Type Gauge, you can meet specifications of butt and fillet type welds.

The AWS Type Gage is pocket size and easy to operate, with a thumb screw replacing the older rivet type. Imperial or Metric measuring options are available. The convexity and concavity size have automatically been predetermined in accordance with American Welding Society DI.I Paragraph 3.6.
