    Description

    In this FlawTech AWS Structural Weld Seismic Kit there are a total of 8 specimens, consisting of 2-3 flaws for a total of 20 flaws. When creating this product, the AWS D1.8 Annex E codes were implemented to ensure the safety of our users. Also included in this kit is an AWS seismic supplement, to further aid you in UT testing.

    • Technique Sheet (as per ASME Sec.V, Art.2)
    • UT Inspection Report 
    • Measuring and Test Equipment Certificates

    Specs

    • Material: A36 or 1018 carbon steel
    • There are 2-3 flaws per specimen for a total of 20
    • 8 Welded Specimens
    • 2 Butt Welds w/ V Groove (1) at 0.375” T and (1) at 0.75” T  X  6” (Weld) X 8”
    • 2 Butt Welds w/ V Groove w/ Backing Bar, (1) at 0.375” T and (1) at 0.75” T  X  6” (Weld) X 8″
    • 2 Tee Welds w/ Single Groove, (1) at 0.375” T & (1) at 0.75” T X 6” (Weld) X 6” Main X 7” (Branch)
    • 2 Tee Welds w/ Single Groove w/ Backing Bar, (1) at 0.375” T and (1) at 0.75” T X 6” (weld length) X 6” Main X 7” Branch
    • Weld Condition: Surface condition of the crown and root will be “as welded.”
