LuminarHD is the premier handheld corona camera offered by Ofil. LuminarHD uses benchmarked DayCor® patented technology that ensures accurate detection, recording and display of UV radiation emanated from corona.

DAYCOR® TECHNOLOGY INSIDE

The LuminarHD is a high fidelity bi-spectral solar blind camera with Ofil's DayCor® technology embedded in the unit [Registered Patent EP1112459B1]. The camera runs for over 3 hours on one charge without overheating.

TESTED & CERTIFIED SENSITIVITY TO UV & RIV

RWE Germany has tested and certified LuminarHD for detecting 1pC from 15 meters, 3.6dBμV (RIV) @ 1MHz @ 10m in outdoors & indoors. The camera on the LuminarHD records UV photons emanating from corona and their values and severity are counted and displayed. Corona detection can be enhanced through frames integration as well.

PRECISE ID OF EMITTING SOURCES

LuminarHD captures electrical faults via merged UV and visible images that pinpoint their exact locations. Additional data such as GPS, ambient conditions, and narrations are embedded and added as metadata.

PRACTICAL AND ERGONOMIC

LuminarHD features large illuminated control buttons that activate the most frequently used functions and can be operated wearing work gloves. A clear, easy-to-read adjustable TFT LCD enables you to use the camera in sunny conditions.  A built-in powerful LED flashlight allows for inspections in poorly lit areas. Operating the camera is easy via an intuitive, pictorial navigation. Setting up optional features such as defining user presets and profiles can be done in seconds.

SUPERIOR ZOOM CAPABILITY

The LuminarHD has powerful zoom capability through a continuous interchangeable optical wide to narrow fields of view for both visible and UV channels. The high definition and high resolution of the camera's images allow for post-process digital magnification and clear views into imperfections stemming from corona discharges.

HD RECORDING & PLAYBACK

LuminarHD is equipped with 720p video & still capability. Media is displayed on its LCD and stored on a micro flash card. Exporting video and images can be done automatically via Ofil’s coronaWise software as plug-N-play.
