Magnaflux demagnetization units are used to demagnetize parts after Magnaglo® and Magnavis® magnetic particle inspections (MPI). Demagnetization is usually the last criteria to complete an item for its overall use.
The Magnaflux SB and S Series demagnetization equipment give quick and efficient solutions for demagnetizing a wide range of parts after the MPI process.
Applications for these demagnetization units include demagnetizing parts after magnetic particle inspections (MPI), demagnetizing parts with bearing or journal surfaces, demagnetizing parts after they come in contact with lifting magnets or magnetic chucks and removing magnetism in parts that will be used near magnetic instruments.
The SB-Series
The SB-1416
The SB-1416 is a stand alone, intermittent duty demagnetizer possessing 8,000 amp turns as well as a 12,000 amp output version. The line current input for 8,000 amp turns at 460V/60Hz/1pH is 35 amps, for 8,000 amp turns at 230V/60Hz/1pH is 70 amps and for 12,000 amp turns at 460V/60Hz/1pH is 80 amps.
With its user friendly control panel and adjustable shot time, the SB-1416 is an easy and adaptable system to use and its one touch demagnetization makes the demagnetization process move quickly. Also included is a three year warranty covering parts and labor.
The SB-1619
The SB-1619 is a stand alone, intermittent duty demagnetizer possessing 8,000 amp turns as well as an additional 12,000 amp output version. The line current input for 8,000 amp turns at 460V/60Hz/1pH is 42 amps, for 8,000 amp turns at 230V/60Hz/1pH is 84 amps and for 12,000 amp turns at 460V/60Hz/1pH is 96 amps.

The SB-2824
The SB-2824 is a stand alone, intermittent duty demagnetizer possessing either 8,000 or 12,000 amp turns. The line current input for 8,000 amp turns at 460V/60Hz/1pH is 75 amps, for 8,000 amp turns at 230V/60Hz/1pH is 155 amps, for 12,000 amp turns at 460V/60Hz/1pH is 100 amps and for 12,000 amp turns at 230V/60Hz/1pH is 154 amps.
With its user friendly control panel and adjustable shot time, the SB-2824 is an easy and adaptable system to use and its one touch demagnetization makes the demagnetization process move quickly. It also features a 28” wide by 24” high window for optimal viewing. Also included is a three year warranty covering parts and labor.

The S-66 is a 6”x6” table-top demagnetization system that is designed for 115V, 230V and 460V at 50 or 60 Hz single phase. Its compact size as well as waterproof and oil-proof design gives it the flexibility to fit into existing test systems. The coil can be mounted even with the work surface making inserting parts quick and easy. This sturdily built, table-top system is built for continuous duty and fast, efficient use.

S-Series: S-66 and S-1212
The S-66 (6”x 6”) and S-1212 (12”x12”) are compact table-top demagnetization systems designed for 115v, 230v and 460v at either 50 or 60 hertz single phase. Both units are waterproof and oilproof by virtue of their plastic-impregnated glass coating. Their compact size enables them to fit into most existing test or production systems. The base of the coil opening may be mounted flush with the work surface, using the angle support supplied, making part insertion fast and easy on the operator.
