    Description

The Zetec ElbowFlex Scanner is ideal for fast, handheld ultrasound inspections of pipe elbows. The ElbowFlex is perfect for detecting and measuring different flaw types such as corrosion pitting, mid-wall lamination, and remaining wall thickness.

Designed for both straight and elbow (bend) applications, a single phased array probe on the ElbowFlex will work with pipes from 4" Nominal Pipe Size (4.5") to flat.  The ElbowFlex offers single-handed button operation, magnetic wheels, an aqualene membrane and provides 100% coverage confidence while saving inspection time and operating costs.

A single, flexible phased array probe allows easy inspection adaptation to the specimen's dimensions and complete concentric analysis. The C-Scan images are easily encoded and interpreted via Ultravision Touch software,

Featuring Zetec's industry-leading phased array technology, the ElbowFlew works in conjunction with all TOPAZ systems, saving data in high resolution.

    Features

    Easy-to-Use, Simple to Deploy

    • One flexible phased array probe for the entire pipe range: A single probe easily aligns to the scanned test object's dimensions and stays concentric for the duration of inspection
    • C-Scan imaging: UltraVision Touch software enables straightforward interpretation of encoded data
    • Magnetic wheels: Keeps the scanner in place while providing complete coverage and maintaining scan lines

    Highly Versatile

    • Aqualene membrane: Instead of a traditional water chamber, only a thin film of water on the specimen surface is needed for inspections. Alternately, the scanner can work with standard coupling gel or water/gel couplant mixture.
    • Data is saved at a high resolution, and system is compatible with any TOPAZ family instrument
