    Description

    The new Echomac® VM measures velocity to assess nodularity in ductile iron cast automotive components.

    Ultrasonic velocity measurement of nodular graphite iron material in automotive safety parts provides an industry accepted, reliable method of verifying the material integrity of each part. The Echomac® VM detects unacceptable variations in Nodularity (a particular type of graphite created during the production of components) through measuring the velocity of sound waves passing through each part and reports whether or not the part is acceptable.

    The Echomac® VM is the simplest, most effective instrument to test velocity.

    The Echomac® VM Velocity Measurer is developed and manufactured by Magnetic Analysis Corp., a US based industry leader in NDT devices, systems and service with more than 85 years experience.

    • Functions with either full immersion or bubbler couplant technology.
    • Test two parts at the same time in separate test stations using just one instrument.
    • Evaluate Velocity, Thickness or Flaw detection.
    • Standard setup has 2 Velocity channels and 2 Flaw channels with an option for 4 additional Flaw channels.
    • I/O connections (Industrial hardened) are protected from outside elements.
    • Enclosure includes a closed loop heat exchanger to ensure proper operating temperature and protection from the outside environment.
    • Dual Screen view enables viewing of test results for two parts.
    • Velocity Application screen is easy to read.
    • Built in Data Logger and Trend Chart display.
    • Automatic or manual testing.
    • Less than 2 second evaluation time.
