MagnaFlux NiCr Penetrant Test Panels 20 micron (MF-506252)

NiCr test panels help maintain liquid penetrant inspection (PT) processes by verifying penetrant sensitivity and performance. They are used to check for penetrant degradation, compare different penetrants, and assess sensitivity or visibility.

These panels come in pairs with 20-micron crack depths, making them ideal for sensitivity comparisons. Made from brass plated with a 20-micron nickel-chrome alloy, they are stressed to create linear cracks. Each test piece is split into two matching panels, allowing used penetrants to be tested against new ones on identical flaws.

NiCr test panels help detect performance differences in penetrants, emulsifiers, developers, or processing equipment. They are also known as ISO 3452-3 Type 1 reference blocks.
