The ibg eddyvisor® SC is flagship model eddy current tester from ibg that tests for both structure and crack, pore and grinder burn defects. The eddyvisor® SC is designed to identify flaws in components, mass-produced parts and semi-finished products using Preventive Multi-Filter Technology (PMFT).

Compact & High Powered

The eddyvisor® SC can perform eddy current tests with a maximum of 16 independent crack detection channels and a maximum of 32 structure test channels (or any combination of the two). The instrument performs eddy current tests reliably, is easy to operate via an intuitive interface and is housed in a compact design that can fit into inline applications within your laboratory or production environment. The measuring signal is digitally processed with unique processors immediately after the pre-amplifier providing the most stable test results possible.

Advanced Structure, Crack, Pore & Grinder Burn Detection

ibg's Preventive Multi-Filter Technology (PMFT) simplifies the inspection process for structure, crack, pore and grinder burn detection, eliminating the need for experts to perform sophisticated and time-consuming manual operations. PMFT automatically creates tolerance zones by simply scanning good parts. This process is a monumental shift in how flaw detection is performed and is unique to ibg worldwide.

While calibrating with PMFT, good parts' surface areas are scanned, and the eddy current variations are recorded simultaneously in each of 30 band pass filters. 360-degree tolerance zones are auto-generated within each filter band, capturing the allowable "noise" from good parts including such characteristics as edge effects, hardness profile run out, eccentricity, etc. This process dramatically reduces false rejects while retaining visibility to actual flawed parts.

Ready to Test in Minutes

You can calibrate the eddyvisor® SC with ibg's unique "good-part-only-concept" that enables you to set up in minutes. As soon as you test a sample of good parts and they are recorded as reference parts, you can begin testing. Tolerance zones within each of the 30 PMFT filter bands are auto-generated allowing good part fingerprints in each of the 30 PMFT filter bands. After recording material data, with one key press, you can switch to Preventive Multi-Filter Test and begin testing. There is no faster, more reliable eddy current testing process currently available.
