The Dakota Ultrasonics ZX-2 Corrosion Thickness Gauge is a durable dual element gauge designed for rough environments. This IP65 rated unit is ideal for detecting corrosion and pitting in applications on glass, tanks, tubes and pipe, and boilers. The ZX-2 is protected by an extruded aluminum body and nickel-plated aluminum end caps (gasket sealed). The key pad is made with a sealed membrane to make it resistant to water and petroleum products.
Velocity can be set manually with the VEL key located on the unit or set from a list of common material types. A backlit display allows the operator to view readings even in dim settings. This gauge includes a 1/4" Ø potted, side entry, dual element transducer at 5 MHz. This transducer is perfect for use on steels, thin plastics, and glass. High-temp transducers are also useable with this unit.
