The VIBROCONTROL 6000 Compact  Monitor’s™  unique modular design makes it the perfect monitor for any application

VIBROCONTROL 6000 Application Specific Solutions

Rolling Element Bearings

Monitoring case vibration according to ISO 10816 combined with the bearing condition of rolling element bearings is of considerable economic importance for the industry.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ can be configured as a quad channel instrument used to measure 2 channel vibration and 2 channel Bearing Condition.

  • 2 Absolute Bearing Vibration according to ISO 10816
  • BCU Reading for High Speed Machines
  • Bandpass Reading for Low Speed Machines
  • 2 Analog Output Signals
  • 4 Relay Outputs

Journal Bearings

Measuring the relative shaft vibration & thrust position is vital for the operation of machines with journal bearings.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ offers a two input configuration for Displacement sensors with an optional third sensor for Axial Shaft Position Readings

  • 2 Relative Shaft Vibration according to ISO 7919
  • Optional Axial Position
  • 3 Analog Output Signals
  • Up to 6 Relay Outputs

Rotors with Unbalance

Unbalance is the most common cause of excessive vibrations and thus damage to bearings, foundations and the rotor itself. Field balancing offers an easy way to solve this problem. Some machines need repeat balancing

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ provides two channels for case vibration and the first harmonic with amplitude and phase reading. Using these readings gives you everything you need for a field balancing job without the need for a portable balancer.

  • 2 Absolute Bearing Vibration according to ISO 10816
  • Amplitude & Phase Readings
  • 6 Analog Output Signals
  • 2 Relay Outputs

Reciprocating Compressors

During the normal operation of a reciprocating compressor, the rider band supporting the piston wears away. If the wear is not caught in time, the piston can contact the cylinder liner resulting in expensive repairs.

Rod Drop is an excellent measurement technique for increasing the productivity & profits of a machine. Rod Drop provides a warning of the vertical piston movement inside a cylinder. This eliminates the need to shutdown the machine for inspection & warns the operator to take action before damage occurs.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ has the ability of providing a Rod Drop measurement for two piston rods simultaneously. Each measurement can be taken from two points along the rod and averaged over cycles to provide the best possible. In addition to the Rod Drop Reading, the VIBROCONTROL 6000™ can optionally measure the case vibration reading of the crank case.

  • One or Two Measuring points on the same Piston Rod
  • Measure One or Two Piston Rods
  • Optional Crank Case Vibration
  • 5 Analog Output Signals
  • 4 Relay Outputs

Spindles (Machine Tools)

High productivity and quality are crucial factors for a machine tool. Vibration is the best indication for machine conditions. However, fast quick movement from the spindle can make it difficult to monitor the vibration levels.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ is capable to monitor spindles. Equipped with a user defined bandpass filter, it filters out any low frequency movements from the spindle and focuses only on the condition of the spindle.

  • User Defined Bandpass Filter
  • Monitoring of One Spindle
  • 1 Analog Output Signal
  • 2 Relay Outputs

Turbochargers

Vibration monitoring for turbochargers are important, however the individual design characteristics of each turbocharger requires a customized solution.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ is equipped with a user defined bandpass filter that allows the user to monitor the case vibration based on the individual filter characteristics defined by the manufacture.

  • Monitoring for One or Two Turbo Chargers
  • User Defined Bandpass Filter
  • 2 Analog Output Signals, one per Turbo Charger

Gearboxes

Continuous gearbox monitoring prevents unscheduled shutdowns and considerably lower repair costs by ensuring that the gearboxes are serviced at optimal times.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ monitors simultaneously the case vibration in velocity and acceleration in two locations with an optional bearing condition reading for each location. This delivers a powerful tool for gearbox monitoring.

  • Two Location Monitoring Simultaneously
  • Velocity and Acceleration Readings
  • Optional Reading for Bearing Condition
  • 6 Analog Outputs

Hydro Turbines

Proper vibration monitoring is vital for a Hydro Turbine. Knowing the position of the shaft is importation for an alignment check. The 1st harmonic and blade pass frequency are also very important parameters for diagnostics.

VIBROCONTROL 6000™ provides the relative vibration of the shaft plus the position of the shaft within the bearing. For a more detailed diagnostic, the 1st harmonic and blade pass frequency are also available.

  • 2 Relative Shaft Vibration according to ISO 7919
  • Radial Shaft Position within the bearing
  • Measuring of 1st Harmonic
  • Measuring of Blade Pass Frequency
  • 4 Analog Output Signals
  • 6 Relay Outputs

  • Binary Input
  • Relay Output
  • DC Measurement
  • Analog Output (4-20mA)
  • LED’s for OK & Alarm State
  • Soft-Terminal for Setup/Display
  • Buffered Output of Sensor Signal
  • Rotational Speed/Phase Reference
  • Optional Redundant Power Supply
  • "Hot-Swap" Hardware Components
  • Up to 3 Input Channels Simultaneously
  • Acceleration, Velocity & Displacement Probes
  • Interface for PLC or PC via OPC Server Interface
  • Signal Processing Customizable for the Application
